Mr. Hauptmann’s Class Newsletter
Unit 3, Week 1- January 2, 2013
Welcome back, and Happy New Year!
I hope you had a relaxing holiday, and excited for the new year ahead. I love
this time of year at school, we are well into our routines and I find the most
academic growth happens in the next four months. This week we are reading “The
Stranger” by Chris Van Allsburg, who also happens to be one of my favorite
authors! We will focus on some vocabulary words in this story. It would be helpful if you will reinforce the
meaning of these words at home with your child. No spelling this week. Let’s have a great short week!
