Mr. Hauptmann’s Class Newsletter
Unit 3, Week 2- January 14, 2013

This week we are reading “Adelina’s Whales” by Richard Sobol. We will focus on some vocabulary words in this story.  It would be helpful if you will reinforce the meaning of these words at home with your child.  Also, on this newsletter you will find our spelling words for the week. All of the words this week are homophones (words that sound the same but have different spellings and meanings). Please practice the spelling and definitions of these words at home and be on lookout for other homophones. The words in italics are our challenge spelling words.  Let’s have a great week!
