Unit 4, Week 5- April 14, 2014

This week we are reading various reader’s theaters and taking the Unit 4 Benchmark Test.  We will also be working on our United States geography projects and will be having a 4^th grade Spelling Bee with the other 4^th grade classes. I have attached two lists of words that may be used during our bee. There will not be a regular spelling test this week, but students should practice the words on the lists.  Let’s have a great week!

The 3^rd Annual EFES 4^th Grade Spelling Bee will be held this week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Rules are below.

During the bee, the contestants should say the word they are given, spell the word, and then say the word again. Contestants can ask for the word to be used in a sentence, request an alternative pronunciation, or ask for a definition. There will be awards for 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd place. The final bee between the three classes will take place on Thursday, April 17.
