week we are reading “The Horned Toad Prince” by Jackie Mims Hopkins. This entertaining fairy tale takes place in
the Southwestern part of the United States, so we will also be studying the
geography and climate of this unique region. We will focus on some vocabulary
words in this story also. It would be
helpful if you will reinforce the meaning of these words at home with your
child. Also, on this newsletter you will
find our spelling words for the week.
Please practice these words at home as well. The words in italics are our challenge
spelling words. The Chapter 1 Math Tests should be in your child’s Homework Folder.
Please look this over and have your child correct any mistakes. Let’s have a
