Mr. Hauptmann's Class Newsletter
Unit 3, Week 6- February 24, 2014

Welcome back! I hope everyone had a fun and relaxing break with your family! This week we will listen to, read, and write, various forms of poetry. If you have a favorite poem or book of poetry from home, you may bring it in to share with the class.  We will focus on reviewing some of the vocabulary words from Unit 3.  Our spelling words for the week are 4th grade level science words, as well as previous vocabulary words.  Please practice these words at home as well.  Let’s have a great week!

Spelling Words:  fragile, natural, mountain, adaptation, camouflage, hibernate, predator, biologist, massive, tropical, brilliant, chorus, destruction, forecasts, canopy, fragrant

The students in 4th grade have been working hard on completing their science projects. The experiments should now be completed, and students are typing up their results, conclusions, and reflections. We will be spending a great amount of time these next three days compiling data and organizing presentation boards.

The 36th Falmouth Science Fair is this Saturday, March 1 and the FHS Field House.
If you want to enter your science project in the High School Science Fair it is NOT too late, but you need to register by 4:00pm on Tuesday (tomorrow).

Go to www.falmouthsciencefair.com to register online. It only takes 2 minutes to sign up. Extra-credit will be given to any student who enters their project and goes to the science fair on Saturday.

Things going on this week in 4th Grade:
Thursday, February 27 @ 11:30am- EFES 4th grade Science Fair (parents and guardians are welcome to come see the science projects).
