Homework should take about 40 minutes each night
(Monday-Thursday). Each night there will be a math page, and a writing
assignment (see below). Students should always read at least 20 minutes every
night as well.
Monday: Write a
personal narrative (1-3 paragraphs) about something you did over the weekend.
Tuesday: Complete a
creative narrative of your choice (fiction or non-fiction, 1-3 paragraphs).
Some nights I will give you a topic or prompt that I would like you to focus
on.
Wednesday: Complete a journal
entry about something you have read in class this week (example: describe one
of the characters, summarize the plot, or write about something you found
interesting).
Thursday: Have a parent or guardian give you a practice
spelling test in your journal. Please initial that you have seen the practice
test.
